1) Project Planning & Information Gathering

It is important that a web designer starts off by asking a lot of questions to help us understand your business and your requirements in a website. Be patient with us in this tedious process. We will ask you questions like:

• Types of products or services that you wish to promote online
• Key objectives of your website & the message to your target audience
• What information will the target audience be looking for
• How do you want to project your business & company image

This useful information will later help determine the best design style for your website and the most effective way to write your website content. During the planning phase, our team will also propose to you what technologies should be implemented. Elements such as interactive forms, ecommerce, Flash, search portal etc. are discussed when planning your website. After we have collated the specifications and requirements, we will work out a favorable package as proposed by our sales team.

2) Website Conceptual Design

Drawing from the information gathered up to this point, it is time to determine the look and feel of your site. AGB Media Development works with the client to define unique business rules related to their operation, and any customizations required. Based on the specifications and research, AGB Media Development develops a creative concept for the site, and works with your marketing team to incorporate the desired branding elements.

Design mock-ups are subsequently built for client's approval on the layout. Typically, we will create one or more prototype designs depending on the scale of the project. This is normally a JPEG image or external link to provide an overview of how the website will look like.

Estimated Lead Time: 10-12 man days

3) Content Development & Copywriting

Upon seeking your approval, we will compile all necessary materials in softcopy. Clients are required to provide images in JPEG, GIF, EPS, PDF or any other types of working file. A content write-up should be provided in Word document for copywriters to vet and proofread. AGB Media Development works with the client to write and format content to support the best practices of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

4) Full Site Development

For this entire time, our designer should continue to make your in-progress website available to you for viewing, so that you can suggest any additional changes or corrections to the image or content you would like to have done. The rest of the pages are developed concurrently. On the technical front, a successful website requires an understanding of front-end web development. This involves writing a valid XHTML / CSS style sheet that complies with current web standards, maximizing functionality, usability as well as accessibility for as large an audience as possible.

5) Project Implementation & Integration

After the content is loaded to all the web pages, the website is rigorously tested by our IT engineers and should by now be ready to integrate to your server. Once you give us the green light to proceed, an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) program is used to upload the files to the designated server. Once these accounts have been set up and your website uploaded to the server, the site will be put through a final run-through. This is a precautionary measure to confirm that all files have been uploaded correctly, and that the site continues to be fully functional.

Typically all these technical performances are carried out 2-3 days before your official launch. Your website is now viewable to the public.

6) Website Maintenance & Other Services

Now that your website is running live, you may choose to take up our comprehensive maintenance packages or simply call us on an ad hoc basis should you require to input new information or images to your website, all at your comfort and convenience.
